An Evening in the Dirr Gardens- Support for the Industry- Industry Leaders Recognized

A beautiful, crisp, October afternoon was matched by the stunning garden as over 150 supporters of GGIA gathered for "An Evening in the Dirr Gardens" last weekend. Dr. Mike and Bonnie Dirr graciously played host, tour leader and industry cheerleaders welcoming in friends and colleagues from across the state.

Cliff Brock from the State Botanical Garden of Georgia gets a bear hug from Mike Dirr after winning the plant ID contest.

GGIA would like to once again say thank you to Mike, Bonnie and all of the sponsors and supporters who made this event a success. Proceeds from the event benefit the GGIA Partnership in Sustainability which supports the work of GGIA. We must also tip our cap to Committee Chair Paul Chappell and his dedicated team who put together one heck of an event.

We were very pleased to present this year's GGIA award winners at the event to a group of industry leaders truly deserving of recognition. The GGIA awards recognize those who make an impact on the industry through their tireless and unselfish giving of their time, talents and passions. This year's winners are no different and embody the meaning of giving back. Please join us in congratulating these folks who make our industry better.
