GGIA Announces 2015 Event: Spring Into Color

5K Dash





Epworth, GA, September 5, 2014- Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) has announced plans for its 2nd Annual Spring Into Color 5K Dash on March 28, 2015 at the Town Center Park in Suwanee, Georgia. 


The Town Center Park is located 45 minutes north on I-85 from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 30 minutes north on I-85 from downtown Atlanta.


The 2nd Annual GGIA Spring Into Color 5K Dash will be a unique event that we hope to grow throughout the years. The proceeds of money will help fund GGIA's Partnership in Sustainability Program as well as a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Atlanta Habitat for HumanityTrees AtlantaThe State Botanical Gardens of GA and The Atlanta Botanical Gardens. There are many ways you and your company can participate as a sponsor, a runner, a walker, a participant, or a volunteer.

Saturday, March 28, 2015

· Starting Time:
9:00 am

· Location:
Town Center Park, Suwanee, GA 

· Distance:
5k (3.1 miles)

· Course Description:
Mostly flat with a few uphills,  with 5 color stations of Dash Mob Volunteers

·  Age Groups:
All ages, all levels of fitness

·  Fee:
$40 for individuals 13 and up; $25 for children ages 5-12; children under 5 are welcome to race for free (but no t-shirt or color packets will be provided)

· Team Information:
Form a team of 4 or more and receive $5 off the race registration fee for each adult team member! (child prices are already discounted)

·  Amenities:
Among other items, registrants will receive a custom designed race t-shirt, sunglasses, and a personal packet of color to throw at the race finale

·  Inclement Weather:
GGIA’s Spring Into Color 5K Dash will take place rain or shine. In the event of rain, you will have even more fun!! The wet color is even brighter than the dry color! And you may even see a REAL rainbow!  However, if there is lightening or thunder, we will delay the start of the race until thunderstorms have passed for the safety of all the runners. Course adjustments will be made if necessary.

Come experience some fun in the wildest 5K you've ever seen! Run, Walk, Crawl, or cartwheel if you wish, your way through a bombardment of color and find yourself wearing a COLORFUL Dash of spring colors when you reach the finish line. Have a blast and benefit some awesome charities in the process!


The Georgia Green Industry Association is a statewide trade organization for the horticulture industry in Georgia. With members from the landscape trade, irrigation contractors, wholesale nursery growers, greenhouse operators, retail garden centers and allied sales companies, GGIA serves as a true umbrella association for the entire horticulture industry.
